Cultural Heritage
Cultural Heritage refers to the legacy of physical artifacts, intangible attributes, traditional skills, and historical landmarks inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed for the benefit of future generations. It encompasses various fields including urban planning, which involves the technical and political process concerned with the development and design of land use in an urban environment, and conservation planning, which refers to the process of identifying and developing strategies to manage and protect cultural resources. Architectural conservation, a key component of Cultural Heritage, deals with the preservation, restoration, or reconstruction of buildings, structures, areas, and landscapes of historical or cultural significance. Architecture as a whole, being the art and science of designing buildings and structures, forms a vital part of this category as it reflects the historical, cultural, and social advancements of a society.
