Foster Care is a system in which a minor has been placed into a ward, group home, or private home of a state-certified caregiver, referred to as a "foster parent". This arrangement is usually arranged through the government or a social service agency. The system provides temporary or permanent care, nurturing and support to children who are unable to live with their biological parents due to various reasons. The system also encompasses aspects of child care, family health, grandparenting, and family dynamics, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children under its wing.
