Muay Thai is a combat sport originating from Thailand that utilizes various clinching techniques and is known as the "art of eight limbs". This refers to the use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins during combat. It is a physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins and is centred around physical preparation, mental strength and rigorous training. As a sport, it is recognized globally with professional matches held worldwide, and is also a fundamental part of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
